About us

The SISTUR (Italian Society of Tourism Sciences) was formed in February 2009 and brings together university lecturers and tourism experts with the aim of promoting the deepening and dissemination of studies on the issues of Tourism Sciences both on the level nationally and internationally, stimulating research and training.

Based on the strong multidisciplinary nature of the tourism sector, including the field of training, SISTUR encourages meetings, comparisons and joint research between experts from different disciplines such as art historians, economists, corporateists, historians, sociologists, linguists.

The SISTUR is joined by teachers of Italian or foreign universities, entrepreneurs, consultants and professionals working in the sector.
